Typhoon Vintage Pink 6-Cup Espresso Maker Specifications

This six-cup, retro-look espresso maker from Typhoon takes coffee lovers by storm. The European-style pot, built of sturdy, heavy-gauge aluminum, sits right on a stovetop burner and steams up delectably strong, creamy, espresso-like coffee. To use, unscrew the two halves, add cold water to the bottom, fill the stainless-steel basket with fresh ground coffee, screw the top back on, and wait for the brew to fill the top half. A gray, stay-cool handle and lid knob assist in pouring.

While the lower half of the hour-glass shape reveals the aluminum in a brightly polished finish, the top half is painted a choice of high-gloss colors in Typhoon's Vintage pastel palette: pink, cream, blue, and green. Matching Vintage kitchen items create a unified, fashionable look. Once a color is picked, the size of the espresso maker is also a consideration: three-, six-, and nine-cup versions are available in each color. The six-cup maker measures 8-1/2 by 4 by 4 inches, ideal for three to four people. Allow the pot to cool after use and then wash by hand. --Ann Bieri
